BASIC OBEDIENCE & MANNERS CLASSES


Puppy Kindergarten: 

(Puppies up to 6 months)

The most important period of a dog’s life is puppy hood. This class is designed to point puppies in the right direction. The class focuses on "puppy problems," socialization and manners. Basic commands, such as Sit, Down, Come, and Loose Leash Walking are also introduced.



Puppy Plus

(Pre-requisite:  Puppy Kindergarten):

The class is specifically focused for dogs who have attend the Puppy Kindergarten class. The class picks up where Puppy Kindergarten leaves off and provides more socialization between dogs than the Elementary Level class. Basic commands, such as Sit, Down, Stand, Come and leash walking are taught and behavior problems specific for adolescent dogs are addressed. To attend this class it must be taken back to back with the Puppy Kindergarten.


Elementary Level:

(Beginner Level Training:  Dogs of Any Age; no prerequisite):

This class is structured to train the young or adult dog to be a well-behaved household pet. Basic commands, such as Sit, Down, Come and a Foundation Stay are taught. Behavior Problems are addressed, as well as walking on a loose leash and dealing with every day activities.




High School Level

(Intermediate Level Training.  Pre-requisite:  Elementary Level or comparable): 

This class is for dogs that have attended the beginner level training class. This class strengthens the control of basic commands and focuses on gaining more control around distractions.  Off-leash exercises, recalls from distractions and formal stays are also covered.   


College Level

(Advanced Level Training.  Pre-requisite: Intermediate level of training):

This class is for the dog that has attended the intermediate level training class. Distance Commands, stays and continued recall work as well as off-leash work are emphasized.
